Obwohl ich nun auch langsam ins Fussballfieber komme und hier die privaten Beiträge in den letzten Tagen dominierten, wollen wir ja nicht vergessen, dass es hier auch hin und wieder technisch zur Sache gehen soll. Daher hier wieder was über Symfony. Das Symfony-Team arbeitet an den letzten Feinschliffen für die Dokumentation der 1.1 Version und scheint den Verlust vom François Zaninotto mit Dampf wegmachen zu wollen. Die meisten neuen Features sind bereits dokumentiert und der Release von 1.1 steht nicht mehr viel im Wege.
Auch die Übersetzer waren fleißig, sodass die Dokumentation auch in den gängigsten Sprachen vorhanden ist.
Die API Dokumentation wurde ebenfalls etwas aufgepimt und hat eine Suche mit Autovervollständigung erhalten, sodass die Recherche deutlich vereinfacht wurde.
In Symfony 1.1 bekommt auch ein komplett neues Form-Framework. Dieses Framework ist nunmehr so umfangreich und mächtig, dass sich das Team entschieden hat ein eigenes Buch zu diesem Thema zu erstellen, wovon bereits 4 Kapitel fertig sind und nächste Woche veröffentlicht werden.
Man sieht also dass das Release von 1.1 näher kommt und die Arbeiten im vollen Gange sind. Weiter so!
Achso nochwas… es gibt 2 neue Plugins von Yahoo, auf die jeder mal ein Blick werfen sollte:

Yahoo! r3 is an extensible open-source tool for building and maintaining variant web sites by creating, managing and localizing templates and translations. It can be controlled using both web and command line interfaces which generate text based files for use in internationalized applications. These outputs may take the form of templates, configuration files or even source code. r3 can save and load translation data in XLIFF format.
